OK I have an iPod so I decided to get the KeyGen Music app and I have noticed that the iPod app has far better quality then the ones that I downloaded from here. I play them with VLC Media Player on Mac OS X 10.8.
Any help would be great thanks

The player engine is the reason. Try to find a player that uses bass/bassmod/xmplay engine. Or just try different players with tracker music support

Tried a few but not really happy. Ones are hard for Mac, thanks to Apple dropping support for PowerPC Apps
Will converting to a .wav or .mp3 produce the same Awesome Quality?

Awesome! At the moment I'm playing them with Foobar (with the module sound plug-in) on my Windows machine and it is sounding great! It even replaced iTunes for playback!

I also found out that MadTracker can read them, and you can edit them too, as well as listen to individual instruments

You can use mp3 resizer by wonderfox with bass/bassmod/xmplay engine. The output will be excellent and also you can change the bit rate and sample rate of your audio files.
